First Lady Doyle to Participate in Wisconsin Book Festival Panel in Madison

First Lady Jessica Doyle will participate in a Wisconsin Book Festival Panel on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at the Overture Center in Madison. Mrs. Doyle will join author Anita Silvey in discussing favorite children’s books that made an impact in their lives. Silvey will spend time sharing excerpts from her book, Everything I Need to Know I Learned from a Children’s Book and taking stories from the audience. Mrs. Doyle will emphasize the importance of reading and encourage teachers, parents, and students to participate in the Read On Wisconsin! Book Club.

Mrs. Doyle’s online book club, Read On Wisconsin!, is for students and educators across the state. Throughout the school year, Mrs. Doyle recommends books for five age groups each month.
