We've had a fantastic level of participation in the "Where in Wisconsin is Jessica Doyle?" game. During the last school year, students submitted over 28,000 answers to our weekly mystery clues.
Some of the goals the game is accomplishing are:
- To challenge students to learn more about the past, present, and future of Wisconsin
- To introduce the state to 4th and 5th grade while expanding the knowledge of state facts and figures to a deeper and higher level at the middle school level
- To introduce students to some useful and outstanding Web sites, books and resources about Wisconsin
- To underscore the reality that students will learn more about Wisconsin history and culture if they get involved
- To develop pride in our state and its high quality of life
We owe much of that participation to the support we've received from educators. We recognize that you are the individuals in the classroom that are encouraging students to give the game a try.
If you have any problems downloading or printing these materials, or if you have any questions about the game in general, please contact us. Be sure to visit our “Links & Resources” page for lists of books, websites and even more educational materials available to you.
Thank you for your help in making our efforts to teach students more about Wisconsin a success!
